Inside our classroom:

I am excited to begin this school year with you. We will learn together with this new school year. I want to let you know that I am here to help your child grow and support them along the way. We will be learning a lot of interesting topics and I am excited to see how much the students will grow while I have them as their teacher. The classroom environment will be respected and a place to grow. We are excited to be back in the classroom! Please help support this at home and contact me with any questions.

I will be out for maternity leave for a few weeks but the students will be in great hands with the support of the second grade teachers and a guest teacher.

Experience:

This is my fourth year at SJUSD. This is my third year working at  Hyatt. It is officially my first year as a teacher. Last year I began the school year as a 3rd Grade teacher and then took over 2nd grade. I received  my masters in Education: Learning and Teaching at the University of Redlands in 2019. I also received my bachelors in Sociology at the University of California Riverside. I worked for the after school program while I was in college. After graduating from UCR I worked as a substitute teacher for various school districts. At the end of last school year San Jacinto Unified hired me as a teacher. This is my first year teaching and I am beyond excited!

Personal life:

I grew up in Riverside and moved to San Jacinto after getting married. I come from a small family of four, my parents and my sister. I am very close to my family and I visit them very often. I now live with my husband, two huskies and a baby boy that arrives August 16. We are full excitement to become parents and start the journey of parenthood.

One of my hobbies is to go for daily runs with my huskies. I have been running for several years now and I enjoy it a lot. I love to explore new food and dessert places on the weekends or during vacation. I like watching movies with my family as movie nights. These are just a few of my interests.
