Maestra Montalvo
Hello! My name is Alma Montalvo. This is my second year teaching kindergarten and my ninth year working for SJUSD. My husband and I have four children (3 boys and the youngest is a girl). We have a dog, Chase, and a cat, Thomas, (they are best friends). Our oldest is in his first year of college and the younger three attend SJUSD schools. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. We love to eat, shop, go to the movies, the beach and nature walks.
I received my bachelor in Business Administration from California Baptist University in 2019 and my Master of Education with SEL emphasis and multiple subject teaching credential from National University in 2022.
I look forward to getting to know all of my students and watch them learn and grow academically in Spanish and English. As a DI parent, one of my favorite moments has been watching my children realize they are capable of communicating and reading in two languages. I look forward to creating similar memories with each one of my students.
