I was born and raised in San Diego County. My family is from Michoacan, Mexico and I loved spending the holidays there with my grandparents and dozens of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
I received my bachelor of arts in Sociology and minor in Spanish from California State University San Marcos. In 2019 I went back to complete a Master of Arts in Multicultural Education.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family; my husband, my parents, and 2 younger brothers. I have 2 dogs-Tokyo and Fiona. We love traveling and spending time outdoors-walking, hiking, and going to the beach.
This will be my 4th year teaching first grade! My favorite part about 1st grade is teaching kids to read and seeing them grow in both Spanish and English.
