All About Coach Nunez

Introduction

Hello Phoenixes! My passion for exercise science has led me to the respected career path as an educator. This is my second year teaching at Edward Hyatt World Language Academy. I'm truly excited about the opportunity to work with students in helping them achieve lifelong fitness. Also, I am looking forward to working with other educators in cross curricular teaching. My goal as a Physical Educator is to help make connections across disciplines to deepen student learning.  

Education

My undergraduate work in Kinesiology was completed at California State University San Marcos. Kinesiology refers to "the study of human movement." My graduate work was completed at Azusa Pacific University in the field of education. My experiences at these universities have truly prepared me to better serve students in the classroom and beyond academic walls.

Personal Life 

My personal life revolves around my 13-year-old daughter. She enjoys playing soccer at a local AYSO chapter and as a coach I have the opportunity to bond with her over sports. When I have a moment to myself I like to hike, run, ride my road-bike, and watch combat sports.
