WELCOME TO 2ND GRADE!

Meet the teacher!

Education
Hello, my name is Stephanie Taylor.  I graduated from California State San Bernardino with a Bachelors in Psychology.  I then received my teaching credential in Texas through an Alternative Teaching Credential Program.  I continued my education at UT Arlington focusing on Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Literacy.  Lastly, I have a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction: Leadership from Liberty University.

Experience
This is my 13th year teaching.  I started my teaching career in El Paso, TX as a Bilingual Kindergarten teacher.  I then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where I taught kindergarten and a year as the General Education Resource Teacher.  This will be my 4th year with San Jacinto School district as part of the Dual Immersion team and the EHWLA family!

Personal Life
I am a California girl, born and raised.  My family comes from Panama but I grew up here in the United States.  I have been married for 15 years and have 5 children.  I served 8 years in the Army and served 14 months overseas during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

I enjoy being with my family and attending all my childrens' sporting events.  I am what you call "A Soccer Mom" but also a volleyball and baseball mom! I enjoy taking my kids to the beach and playing in the waves. In my free time I love to exercise, dance and read books.  And I LOVE coffee.  :)

Lastly, I love being a teacher.  I want to inspire students to be lifelong learners and to always strive to do their best. There is nothing better than seeing the joy in a students face when they know they can succeed!
